These workshops provide teachers (and student teachers) with the astronomical knowledge and skills relevant to the Curriculum Framework Science Learning Outcomes for Earth and Beyond.
No previous experience is required.
Quality is assured - your training will be provided by WA's professional astronomers. All our astronomical staff have more than 10 years experience in astronomy education and public outreach. Furthermore, our professional astronomers have a strong background with extensive research experience and appropriate university qualifications.
The workshops consist of an interactive discussion and demonstration of basic astronomical concepts and familiarization with Perth Observatory resources and facilities. Written resource materials are also provided.
Refresher, or specialised workshops are also available.
